ECE - Unlocking Passion and Curiosity
新學(xué)年,幼教部在社區(qū)環(huán)境創(chuàng)設(shè)方面進(jìn)行了新的嘗試。整體的社區(qū)環(huán)創(chuàng)更加開(kāi)放,老師還為社區(qū)配備了許多開(kāi)放性的活動(dòng)資源,以及根據(jù)耀中耀華的12信條設(shè)計(jì)的不同的學(xué)習(xí)探索區(qū)域,這些變化將更好地引導(dǎo)小朋友們積極加入不同的探索活動(dòng)中。與此同時(shí),今年的幼教部還解鎖了新的外教老師——Mr. Walton和Mr. Benson,新面孔的加入,勢(shì)必為學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)帶來(lái)更多新的有趣的故事。返校日,幼教部的老師們特意為孩子們送上新學(xué)年的tips:“想要更好地解鎖新學(xué)年,我們希望每個(gè)孩子帶著對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)的熱情,和我們一起讀更多書(shū)籍。同時(shí),我們也希望孩子們帶著開(kāi)放的心態(tài),他們認(rèn)識(shí)彼此,成為彼此的伙伴,以后還要更多地去碰撞、去探索、去學(xué)習(xí)。”
In the new academic year, ECE has made new attempts in community environment creation. The overall community environment is more open, and teachers have equipped the community with many open activity resources, as well as different learning exploration areas designed according to YCYW's 12 Values. These changes will better guide children to actively participate in different exploration activities. At the same time, this year's ECE has unlocked new Western teachers - Mr. Walton and Mr. Benson. The addition of new faces is bound to bring more interesting stories to the learning community. On the Orientation Day, the teachers of the ECE specially gave tips to the children for the new academic year: "To better unlock the new academic year, we hope that every child will bring their passion for learning and read more books with us. At the same time, we also hope that children will have an open mindset, where they get to know each other, become each other's partners, and in the future, collide, explore, and learn more."
Primary - Unlocking Adventure and Listening
當(dāng)學(xué)校的教職員工忙碌著開(kāi)學(xué)準(zhǔn)備工作時(shí),我們也收到很多家長(zhǎng)的反饋——“孩子們已經(jīng)等不及要開(kāi)學(xué)啦!”看看孩子們?cè)谄票顒?dòng)中興奮好奇的樣子,我們真切地感受到他們對(duì)學(xué)校、老師和同學(xué)的想念。我們的返校生更是充滿(mǎn)“主人翁意識(shí)”,為新同學(xué)熱情介紹學(xué)校的各處設(shè)施和各種好玩的活動(dòng),他們迫不及待地把自己在學(xué)校最喜愛(ài)的人事物分享給新的小伙伴。小學(xué)部主管Mr. Winfield也有他對(duì)于同學(xué)們新學(xué)年的期望和寄語(yǔ):“解鎖新學(xué)年的秘訣就在于具備冒險(xiǎn)家一樣的勇氣,今年小學(xué)部有豐富的實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目,我們希望孩子們不要怕失敗,去嘗試每一種可能。同時(shí)也希望同學(xué)們準(zhǔn)備好耳朵,去聆聽(tīng)不同的聲音吸收不同的想法,去發(fā)現(xiàn)更大的世界,觸碰自己的無(wú)限可能!
As the school staff were busy preparing for the new academic year, we received a lot of feedback from parents - 'The children can't wait to start school!' Looking at the excited and curious faces of the children during the ice-breaking activities, we truly felt their longing for the school, teachers, and classmates. Our returning students have a strong sense of ownership and enthusiastically introduce the school's facilities and various fun activities to new classmates. They can't wait to share their favorite things and people at school with their new friends. Our Primary Coordinator, Mr. Winfield, also has his expectations and wishes for the new academic year: "The secret to unlocking the new academic year lies in having the courage of an adventurer. This year, Primary has rich practical projects, and we hope that children will not be afraid of failure and try every possibility. At the same time, we also hope that students are ready to listen to different voices, absorb different ideas, discover a bigger world, and touch their infinite possibilities."
Secondary - Unlocking Soft Power
初中部的同學(xué)們也雄心勃勃地表示,自己已經(jīng)準(zhǔn)備好解鎖新學(xué)年了。9年級(jí)的Lisa同學(xué)說(shuō):“我早就為這個(gè)學(xué)年制定好了目標(biāo),并且在暑假時(shí)我就已經(jīng)開(kāi)始準(zhǔn)備了。我希望堅(jiān)持完成不同的學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),同時(shí)做到始終關(guān)注目標(biāo)! 新加入中學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)的學(xué)術(shù)主管王老師也分享了她的新學(xué)年計(jì)劃:“新學(xué)年,中學(xué)部將繼續(xù)關(guān)注每一個(gè)學(xué)生個(gè)性化的成長(zhǎng)。除了日常的學(xué)術(shù)培養(yǎng),我們會(huì)幫助學(xué)生們解鎖更多軟實(shí)力。新學(xué)年中學(xué)部會(huì)有Social Emotional Learning相關(guān)的課程內(nèi)容,我們將幫助學(xué)生們培養(yǎng)面對(duì)問(wèn)題、解決問(wèn)題的心態(tài)和能力,同時(shí)也會(huì)幫助他們了解發(fā)生沖突與矛盾時(shí)如何表達(dá)自己的情緒!
Secondary students also expressed their ambitious goals for unlocking the new academic year. Lisa, a G9 student, said, "I have already set my goals for this academic year and started preparing during the summer vacation. I hope to persist in completing different learning tasks while always focusing on my goals. "Ms. Wang, our new Secondary Coordinator, also shared her plans for the new academic year: "In the new academic year, we will continue to focus on the personalized growth of each student. In addition to daily academic training, we will help students unlock more soft power.There will be a Social Emotional Learning-related course in the new academic year to help students cultivate a mindset and ability to face and solve problems, while also to help them understand how to express their emotions when conflicts and contradictions arise."
