    Wilson： Non-smoking， please. Waitress ： If you follow me ， I will
show you to your table. Wilson： Thank you. Waitress： You're welcome.
Your server will be with you right away to take your drink order.

    講解：

    1.這段對(duì)話發(fā)生在顧客剛剛進(jìn)餐館時(shí)。Reservation 見(jiàn)是“預(yù)定、預(yù)約”的
意思，在好一點(diǎn)的餐館里吃飯一般都需要提前預(yù)約，而當(dāng)你進(jìn)入一家餐館時(shí)，侍
者首先就會(huì)問(wèn)你是否有預(yù)約，Do you have a reservation ？

    2.以誰(shuí)的名字預(yù)定座位或是酒店房間一般用介詞under ，比如，I have made
a reservation for a double room in the Hilton Hotel under Mr. Peterson.
我用彼得森的名字在希爾頓飯店訂了一個(gè)雙人間。

    3.國(guó)外的餐館里不一定允許吸煙，即使允許，一般也分為吸煙區(qū)和非吸煙區(qū)，
即smoking area和non-smoking area，所以對(duì)話中的non-smoking seating 就是
非吸煙區(qū)的座位。

    4.當(dāng)別人對(duì)你表示感謝時(shí)，你可以說(shuō)"You're welcome." 意思是“不用謝；
沒(méi)什么”。

    5. take one's order 在這里的意思是替顧客寫(xiě)單，記錄客人需要的食物或
酒水。

    Waiter： I'm sorry for making you wait for so long. Now there is a
table available in non-smoking section. Please follow me. Anne： Thank
you. Waiter ： This is the menu. Are you ready to order now ？

    Anne： Sorry， we haven't decided yet. Could you please give us a
little longer ？

    Waiter： No problem.
