Adrian: Is that a new dress?
Candy : I have no comment.
Adrian: You've had a makeover haven't you?
Candy : No comment.
Adrian: I bet you've done this for a guy you like. Right ?
Candy : Well actually, yes. I have strong feelings for you. Do you
like me ?
Adrian: Eh , eh. No comment.
I have no comment to make on what
is said about her.(關于她的傳言,我不予置評。)
I have nothing to say.(我無話可說。)例:I have nothing to say
in reference to that incident.(關于那次事件,我無可奉告。)
When asked what the
company was planning to do, the chairman repeated "nothing".
You've had a makeover , haven't you?
The tailor has made the dress over,
so that it looks fashionable now.
(1 ) Every woman likes a good makeover
once in a while.(女人總喜歡偶然非常用心的好好打扮。)(2 ) The bank
decided that it was time for a complete makeover, and launched an advertising
當你不想把消息告訴別人時說:I have no comment.
Don't quote me on that. Can I say something
off the record?(我可否私底下告訴你一些消息?)
